If you haven’t been to a single retail store since the day after Christmas, you might not be aware that it’s Carlton Cards favourite time of year: Valentines Day! The time of year where love is in the air and cartoon babies shooting people with arrows is culturally acceptable. Now, if your only plans for the big night are an evening in with your lice infestation and you don’t really know much about them, don’t worry. We’ll help you get to know those little buggers, so you can decide if you want to see them again, or maybe start avoiding their calls.
Terrible House Guests
The first thing you should know about your date is, they tend to be a pretty annoying house guest. They’re the kind of people who when you invite them over, they invite their friends, who invite their friends and so on. Then, before you know it, you have 100’s of lice in your hair! It only takes one female louse to bring about 250 uninvited scalp guests to the party. Talk about inconsiderate! They also constantly itch and irritate you, steal your blood, and leave nits lying around everywhere. So, if you’ve got a clear and healthy scalp, you might want to do everything you can to stop them from getting in.
They Never Leave You Alone
Don’t you ever just want some peace and quiet to yourself sometimes? Well, if you see your date more than once, you can kiss your alone time goodbye. Lice like to constantly nag you (mostly by biting into your head, which is extremely immature) and never let you rest. If you don’t like things that get under your skin, you will be sure to hate it when they are crawling on top of skin too. And even when you ask them to leave politely with some mayonnaise and vinegar, they tend to be resilient and unaffected by your attempts to get rid of them. Even when you get a little more serious and try a combination of .5% Ivermectin and 1% Permethrin (lice pesticide), they don’t seem to budge. If you ever want to relax alone, you might want to break things off with them quick.
You Can’t Take Them Anywhere
If you’re the kind of person that likes to go out with friends, don’t bring your lice. All they do is wait for your head to touch someone’s else’s so they can annoy even more people. They like to spread through the group, irritating everyone and being a total buzz kill. You can forget about taking selfies with people, borrowing your friend’s hat or scarf, and even hugging people, as any contact with another person’s head is bound to leave them frustrated with the date you brought. If you like your friends and don’t want to bother them with a date that gets on their nerves, you might want get rid your lice sooner than later.
